Educational establishments across Aberdeen are home to diverse thinking, learning, and talents. Our role is to help nurture the ambitions of participants, students and pupils, creating equal opportunities for everyone to thrive in an educational environment.

Available Funding

Aberdeen Endowments Trust offers the following types of support:

Bursaries at Robert Gordon's College

Funds bursaries for over 30 pupils currently supported at the College on 100% bursaries. Awarded on household income and academic potential, running from Senior Year 1 to Year 5, with an option for Year 6.

Educational Travel Bursary

Help with the costs of other educational travel offered by colleges, universities, youth organisations, or clubs. Normally 50% of the trip costs up to a maximum of £300.

Education Bursary

Bursaries of up to £520 per year to help support you undertake a higher or further education qualification, or a recognised training programme.

Secondary School Bursary

For families in financial need to help meet some of the costs of school supplies. Currently £52 per school year for pupils in S1 to S4.

School Travel Bursary

Support for families with the costs of primary and secondary school trips. Awards are normally 50% of the trip costs up to a maximum of £300.

Other Funding Support

Support for individuals, clubs, societies and organisations delivering opportunities in expressive arts, health and wellbeing, and STEM. Previous recipients include Aberdeen Science Centre and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Who Can Apply?

All our bursaries and awards are made to benefit members of the Aberdeen community. For specific eligibility criteria please see individual Guidance notes.

Organisations applying for support will have to demonstrate how their proposal supports the Aberdeen community.

Payments

School Travel Bursaries will be paid directly to the school that your child attends. All other grants will be paid directly to the applicant or organisation.
